Taking a Step In Faith
This month, God has been doing amazing things at Fight4Freedom and challenged me to take the next step in this journey.
When I started working with Fight4Freedom and began support raising, I was provided with the opportunity to work part-time with Starbucks. This was an amazing opportunity and was very helpful in supplementing my income while I fund-raised my salary.
This last month, God challenged me to trust Him and give myself fully to support raising. I clearly heard God ask me to give up my job at Starbucks, trust Him, and focus on support raising.
I was reluctant to say the least. I had been comfortable knowing that while I was trying to reach 100% funding, I had a second source of income. But I knew that God was asking me to trust Him fully. So I did it. And just this last week had my last shift. I am now solely support raising and will become a full-time employee at Fight4Freedom for the spring and summer!
I have been so blessed by all of my donors and I am so looking forward to seeing what God has in store!
I am now looking for more monthly donors to help me reach my goal of being fully funded this Spring!
Journeying with Survivors
One Woman Has found Work!
Last month, one of the women that I have been working with was able to secure full-time work! In just a few months, this woman has rebuilt her life to a point where she is saving money, rebuilding personal relationships, and living independently. We are continuing to support her so that she can continue to build savings, and be set up for so much success in the years to come. I am so excited to see where she will go from here!
We are Working With Four Survivors in Ottawa!
One of our volunteers in Ottawa is meeting with four women who have left the industry. She has been so amazing in supporting them! We are currently searching for employment for one of the women, and counselling for another. I am so excited at how God is working in Ottawa and am so thankful that I have the opportunity to walk with our volunteers as they support these survivors!
A New Survivor in the GTA
A woman reached out to our staff recently after having left the industry a few months ago. I have been talking with this woman and we are planning to meet early next month. I am so excited to get to know her and journey with her as she transitions away fromt he sex industry.
- Please pray for the survivors that we are working with. That they would be reminded of how strong and wonderful they are.
- Pray that our survivor in Ottawa who is looking for work would be able to find a job that suits her well.
- Please pray for the woman in the GTA that I have been talking with, that she would be willing to meet up and that we can be an incredible support to her!
Thank you so much to all of my current supporters! Thank you for encouraging me through the last few months. Your support was a major confidence booster in following God’s call to rely on support raising.
Now that I am no longer working with Starbucks, I am looking to find 5 new monthly donors in the next month. If you know of anyone who would like to partner with me in supporting women who have survived human trafficking, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
